Genpact, a global professional services firm focused on delivering outcomes that transform businesses, unveils plans to hire 650 new employees in Iasi and the surrounding area in the next two years. Guided by its purpose, the relentless pursuit of a world that works better for people, Genpact is looking to recruit graduates with foreign-language skills in a variety of roles, including finance and accounting, and IT support, to join them on a journey to a better way of working.

One of the largest employers and talent developers in the business services industry with over 4,000 employees in Romania, Genpact has had a strong commitment to growth in the market ever since it opened its first office in Bucharest in 2005. To celebrate their arrival in Iasi and show their appreciation for the community, Genpact partnered with local authorities, the Iași TRAMCLUB Association NGO, and local artists Kaps Crew, to paint one of the trams in the city to contribute to local urban regeneration in Iasi.

Genpact designs and runs thousands of processes for hundreds of global companies. Clients – including many in the Global Fortune 500 – partner with the company for their unique ability to combine deep industry and functional expertise, leading talent, and proven methodologies to drive collaborative innovation that turns insights into action and delivers outcomes at scale. Genpact creates lasting competitive advantages for clients and their customers, running digitally enabled operations and applying Data-Tech-AI services to design, build, and transform their businesses.

“People are our greatest asset,” says Alexandru Stoenescu, country lead for Romania at Genpact. “We offer our workforce a flexible work-life balance and enable them to work from the office, at home, or just about anywhere, and we are so excited to bring the incredible talent of Iasi these opportunities. In the next two years, we are planning to hire over 650 people for our Work From Anywhere working model.”

Leveraging digital technologies to keep employees connected, a virtual well-being assistant, Amber, keeps a pulse on how employees are feeling and what Genpact can do to support them in real-time. Watercooler ensures people have the opportunity to network with others in the organization they would not meet otherwise, all virtually of course. The digital learning platform, Genome, offers AI-enabled upskilling programs and a talent transformation initiative, TalentMatch matches individual skills and job aspirations with existing and future job opportunities within the company. And this is just to name a few!

“Genome is Genpact’s learning infrastructure that builds on collective intelligence to amplify digital, human-led transformation. It currently touches 115,000+ people across 30 countries. Our new joiners in Iasi and the surrounding area will benefit from 300 learning modules that deliver customized learning and development opportunities designed to make skills relevant in a rapidly changing business environment,” continues Stoenescu. “It is designed to ‘reskill at scale’ and is therefore integrated throughout the enterprise.”

It’s no surprise that Genpact Romania was recognized as the third most desired employer in BPO and shared services by Catalyst Solutions in 2022 and was also named one of the TOP 100 companies in the country at the True Leaders Gala in November 2022. Genpact was also awarded by HR Club as the winner of the Human Resources Strategy category during the Gala of Awards for Excellence in Human Resources in Romania in March 2022.

In April 2023, Genpact was awarded the Romanian CSR awards for our partnership with Hope and Homes for Children, Romania. Most recently, in May 2023, Genpact was awarded by two reputable business organizations in Romania. On May 11, Genpact was awarded as the “New Entrant of the Year” at the PIN Awards Gala in Iasi, an award that celebrates the rapid growth and new presence in the region. On May 24, Genpact was announced as the winner of the Top Digital Transformation Services Provider award at the Romanian Business Services Forum & Awards 2023! This recognition underscores their position as a leader in driving business and digital transformation in Romania.
